Kabir Ajanah Dumps APC for PDP

The aftermath of the fallouts from the last primary polls in Kogi may have started manifesting, as the Member representing Adavi/Okehi Constituency at the Green Chamber, Muhammed Kabir Ajanah has left the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ajanah who is currently the Vice Chairman, Commitee on Ports, Harbours and Waterways has now pitched his tent with the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He had contested the Senate Primaries in the Central Senatorial District of the state, which according to him was not devoid of irregularities and intimidation.  He is one out of the dozens of aggrieved aspirants in the primary elections who alleged gross misconduct and imposition of candidates.

The Kogi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Abdullahi Bello has described as unfortunate the press release making the rounds from the office of the House of Rep. member representing Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Kabir Ajanah describing the recent APC primaries in central as a sham. Hon. Bello made the remark while reacting to the press statement on Tuesday in Lokoja. He said it is the opportunity that brought Hon. Ajanah on board in 2015 as the APC House of Representatives candidate that should be referred to as a sham and a charade as there were no due processes followed, and no primaries were conducted then in the state. "Myself and some other co-aspirants and our teeming supporters were treated like foreigners in a party we helped to build by these desperados to the extent that one began to think if there was going to be APC after the primaries and if our supports would be needed to win elections." Muhammed Kabir Ajanah, member representing Adavi/Okehi constituency at the Green Chamber said this in a Press Statement as part of his post-primaries reaction, an election he and some of the other aggrieved aspirants have petitioned.
