Kogi Central Senate: Natasha Akpoti Dares Opponents to Debate

Natasha Akpoti, candidate of the Social Democratic Party for Kogi Central Senatorial election has dared her opponents to jostle it out in a public debate.  While an election debate has never taken place in the district before, Akpoti on Thursday posted the challenge on facebook, seeking reputable bodies to organize the debate.  The major contenders for the seat include the incumbent Senator, Ahmed Ogembe of the People's Democratic Party; and the flagbearer of the ruling party, Oseni Yakubu.  Whether or not they will throw their hats into the ring would be determined by the responses of these contenders to the challenge. 

Natasha Akpoti Places Yusuf's Orphans on Scholarship

Natasha Akpoti on Sunday promised to foot the education bills of the children of Yusuf Adabenege, who was assassinated by unknown gunmen on Okene, while also being at the beck and call of his mother.  Akpoti made the promise when she paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family at their Obehira residence in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Isah Bala reports.  Describing Yusuf's passing as a great loss to the people of Ebiraland, Akpoti recalled that late Yusuf was a man of fairness who preached and stood forjustice. Barrr. Natasha spoke when she led her team delegation on a condolence visit to the Yusuf's family in their Obehira residence in Okene LGA, Kogi State. The All Progressives Congress candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial race, Yakubu Oseni has added his voice to those in thanksgiving to God for delivering Natasha Akpoti from a ghastly road accident. Akpoti who is the candidate of the Social Democratic Party and a keen contender for the Senate seat on Sunday cheated death in an accident involving her Lexus SUV along Okene-Lokoja-Abuja road.  She was reportedly returning from the 20th Memorial prayer of her late father. Hoodlums Renew Attack on Akpoti's Campaign Banners

The campaign materials, especially banners belonging to the Kogi Central Senate candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Natasha Akpoti have continued to suffer attacks from hoodlums suspected to be working on the orders of the ruling All Progressives Congress.  The one too many attacks which started over a week ago, got renewed on Tuesday at the Obeiba hometown of the aspirant, in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Isah Bala reports.  Commenting on the renewed thuggery activities and political intimidation in Ebiraland, Natasha's team pointed out that it has become necessary for elders and leaders of Ebiraland to wake-up and address the issue, calling on the apex body in Ebiraland, Ebira Peoples Association (EPA) to call all stakeholders and political leaders in the land to addressing the wrong approach the ruling party has decided to sell its candiatate. Kogi Central Senate: Natasha Akpoti Floors Ogembe, Oseni in Online Poll

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Natasha Akpoti has emerged winner of the online poll conducted for the top contenders jostling to represent the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber.  The one-week online poll which was conducted and hosted by Ebira Reporters was designed to weigh the online presence and popularity of the three major contenders, which include the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Yakubu Oseni and Ahmed Ogembe of the People's Democratic Party.  Calculated in percentages as represented in the chart below, while Akpoti polled 77.42%, Ogembe came second with 15.05%  and Oseni trailing with 7.53%.
